Garlic Tonga Sculptural Basket | Mbare | Sorelle Rossi
Garlic Tonga Sculptural Basket
Woven entirely from Ilala palm leaves in rural Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, these Garlic Tonga baskets are made by women of the Ndebele tribe using a traditional technique passed down through generations. Women gather under the shade of large trees to weave and connect — each basket carries the individual touch of its maker, making every piece truly one of a kind.
Style alone or with dried flowers, stems, or branches. Smaller sizes work beautifully as tabletop centerpieces or on shelves; larger sizes make a statement on the floor beside a bed, credenza, or in a corner. They look best grouped in varying sizes.
- Material: Ilala palm leaves
- Made in Zimbabwe
